This project involved designing and developing a complete digital platform for an Ayurvedic wellness centre preparing to launch in Kenya. I built the application using React for the frontend, Django for backend APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server for data management, ensuring a scalable and secure architecture.
The platform focuses on delivering clear information about treatments, services, and wellness philosophy while maintaining a modern and responsive user experience. The project demonstrates my ability to integrate frontend frameworks with robust backend systems to build production-ready applications.
Approach in this project
I started by understanding the requirements from the client and planned the overall structure of the website before moving forward with the design and development. Rather than building isolated pages first, I approached the project as a connected system where the frontend, backend, and database architecture would work together seamlessly. Then, started the Frontend with React Components, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. Followed by Backend with Django REST Framework and MSSQL created a structured foundation capable of supporting future expansion.
Throughout the project, I spent a lot of time refining details — from content flow and spacing to API integration and responsiveness. Also, last but not the least i didn’t forget to do the testing. Then, got the approval from the client and deployed the site to the production.
I enjoy projects where both design thinking and technical problem-solving come together, and this project gave me the opportunity to work deeply across both areas.
The project was planned and executed in multiple phases to ensure a scalable and maintainable development process.
Throughout the project, I refined every detail—from content flow and responsive layouts to API integration and testing with Phase 1 successfully launched.
The platform is designed for future growth, and I am actively working on the enhancements such as online appointments, patient management, authentication, and additional administrative features.
Keerthi played a key role in transforming and improving the kawc.life website. She brought a fresh, professional look to the site, improved its overall user experience, and helped present our Ayurvedic wellness offering in a much more engaging and compelling way. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to translate our vision into a strong digital presence were impressive. I would highly recommend Keerthi for her creativity and execution.
